weight loss centers
what is the weight loss program like at fullerton drake in chicago?
i need some help taking off these last 15-20 pounds after having my daughter almost 2 years ago. i've lost 45 pounds on my own with diet and exercise. i have some friends that have used area weight loss centers that use prescriptions to assist in weight loss with great results. this is what i'm looking for but would like to find a place that also accepts insurance. any ideas??
Do not try any program (even colon cleaning stuff) without the permission / knowledge of your doctor.
I do not know of any weight loss program that takes insurance, unless it is lap band surgery.
If you are only 20 pounds overweight, that is not considered a medical issue (re: obesity), so insurance will not cover the treatment.
Most insurance plans will cover treatment if you are obese. See BMI chart below to determine your BMI. Some insurance plans will not cover treatment for weight loss at all. It all depends on your policy.
Try walking, eating lots of fruits and veggies, and watching what you eat. Eat more fish and chicken.
Also, studies have shown that people who have group support (like Weight Watchers) tend to lose more weight. So, consider joining Weight Watchers.
